About Nepal’s postal codes
Every post office in Nepal has a five-digit postal code. The district (head) post office usually ends in 00, like Kathmandu’s General Post Office at Sundhara, 44600, and the area post offices of that district count up from there: Chabahil is 44602, Kirtipur 44618.
Write the code after the place name in an address, for example: Ward 5, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Lalitpur 44700. Online shops and international forms often ask for a postal or ZIP code: use the code of the post office nearest to your home.
